Time is passing by
Faster than the spend of light
All is gone
And we don’t know why
Time can be full of sadness
Time can be full of grief
But why it has to leave so fast
Is beyond anyone’s belief
Time can heal
And time can destruct
When it comes to time,
Unneeded is luck
Time doesn’t care
If you’re young or old
It will destroy you
As you fit to the mold
Time is a main factor of life;
It kills you slowly
Sometimes I wonder why,
But I think time gets lonely
Many emotions
Flying through her head
Wishing, hoping, praying
That he wasn’t really dead
Tears ran down her face
As they rolled the stretcher past
Thinking of the talk they had
Not knowing it would be their last
She wrapped the ring in her hand
That he had given her, hours before
Wishing, hoping, prating
That the promise hadn’t slipped out the door
Days later, she stood by the stone
Tears ran down her face
As many moments flashed before her eyes
He was gone; no replace
A girl
Walks a long the street
Heading off to face
One of many nightmares
And she wears
Her long sleeves
Even through the heat
To cover up the scars
Of her only escape
She carries a burden so heavy
That cripples her more with each step
And with each little bit,
There’s a little less of her left
She wants to escape
And fly into the sunrise
But that she can’t do;
Her wings have not yet arrived
And she waits for that day
When she can fly away
And never have to feel the pain
But that day is still yet to come
So she just continues,
She struggles on
To face
That hatred, every day
With her only way
Her only escape
From the pain
Hidden
She continues on
She struggles on
Until
she
flies
away
