It’s funny when you think about it

How life used to be

To remember what it’s like

How you got from point A to point B

To remember every memory

Through the good and through the bad

To think through everything

About the life you had

But it’s scary when

You’re at the end

You’re staring down the cliff,

About to jump,

Your life is up,

So now it’s time to die,

You look over your past,

You savor each moment,

And wish it all would last

You wish you could have another chance

To redo all your life

And solve all the mistakes you made

And realize sometime your life will stop

Sooner or later,

There is an end

To stop that ticking clock

And wish you had followed that saying

You heard preached many a way

Carpe diem,

Seize the day
